You will enjoy a trip to the quaint town of Manikaran (45 km), which has hot sulfur springs, and located high up in the mountains at an altitude of 1737 meters,in the Parvati River valley. Known for their healing powers, these springs draw both Hindu and Sikh devotees to the nearby temples of Shri Ramchandra and the Shri Guru Nanak Devji Gurdwara.
For the adventure seeking tourist, there are some good hiking and trekking spots around, set amid tall pine trees, at Kaisdhar (15 km) and Kasol, a little further away (42 km). Raisom (13 km), on the banks of the river Beas, is a good site for trekking If you are in a mood for some mountain climbing, you go up to Shoja, ( 69km) at an altitude of 2692meters, from where you can get a sweeping view of the entire Kullu valley.
A visit to the ancient town of Naggar (23 km) is a must, as it permeates history, being the erstwhile capital of the state of Kullu for more than 1,400 years. There are number of historic monuments and temples here in this town.
