EXCURSIONS

With its treasure of wooded forests and splendid variety of trees such as the Jacarandas in their purple profusion, and the fragrant Magnolias, pear and cherry trees, Kodai is a nature lover’s delight and offers several treks and excursions

Dolphin’s Nose

Located about 8 kms from the Lake, this is a flat , projecting rock, from where you can get a spectacular view of the valley below.

Perumal Peak

A wonderful trek for those who are fond of adventurous climbs. Begin your ascent from the Neutral Saddle. This peak is about 11 km from Kodaikanal.

Benjam Lake

This is a little further away, about 21 km from Kodai, and is a great picnic spot, with a lovely view in sylvan surroundings.

Kukul Cave

About 40 km from Kodaikanal, this is a popular camping site for trekkers. The locals here are said to be descendents of the Paliyans.

This enchanting little hill retreat with its southern geography of the Western Ghats has an appeal that is entirely different from the hill stations of the north, and, considering its small size, has a lot to offer. Volumes of scenery, verdant greenery, some excellent golf, great treks, the romance of history, and educational facilities of repute. What more could one ask for, when one is on the lookout for a good incentive getaway
